Consciousness State Transitions (CST):
A Dual-Mode Framework for Shared and Individuated Awareness

This paper expands ideas first shared in the TechEx Europe presentation "Where Quantum Theory Meets Consciousness: How this Shapes Our Evolution", and is available as a preprint on Cambridge Open Engage, Cambridge University Press, 2026.

CST explores how consciousness expresses itself across different modes, from waking to meditative and altered states, relating these to classical neural and quantum-relevant substrates. At its heart, the paper asks whether higher states of awareness can be meaningfully integrated into everyday life, and whether this approach can also shed light on the longstanding observer‑effect puzzle: if quantum mechanics is fundamentally probabilistic, why do we all share a coherent external reality?
